Weekend Shopping Adventures....

I stayed at work late on Friday because of terrible traffic. (It was either sit at my office, or sit in traffic).

I may have had a mini-online shopping spree.

I ordered these stools.

And only now just realized I ordered the wrong height....so back they will go, *hopefully* it doesn't cost me an arm and a leg to exchange them.

And I also bought this light for the dining room, except with a natural linen shade.

I cannot wait to have something other than builder-grade fixtures in our house.  It will be a happy day for sure.

I also went to HomeGoods this weekend to look for bedside lamps for the guest bedroom.  I didn't come home emptyhanded (wouldn't know what that felt like) but also didn't come home with lamps.  I did find the most amazing and snuggle-y blanket ever.  I cannot describe it as anything else...

It's the Northpoint Sapphire Sherpa blanket.  It's softer than babies.

My friend K bought a cape...or capelet...we cannot decide.  It looks like this:

10 Points if you can name the doll.

  2. #1, it's Samantha! My mom wanted me to get that doll when I was a kid but I wasn't much for dolls
#2, It's funny you say the blanket is softer than babies bc my fiance and I have an on going joke that blankets such as those, have "baby princess fur" which is something he may have uttered in a drunken sleep.

  3. That blanket looks amazing!! I love soft, snuggly blankets. And, oh American Girl dolls. I wanted one SO bad when I was little, but didn't get one. Now my nieces each have like 3. It's crazy.

  4. Samantha! I had one as a kid. :)

As to the stools, refuse the delivery! If you refuse the delivery (don't open the box or alter it in any way), then it'll go back, and you don't have to pay for it.

  8. Samantha of course! I have Felicity, who came out when I was 17 and is kind of a clue as to what the "F" I go by on our blog refers to ;) I still get an outfit for her every Christmas!

  11. Samantha! Oh I loved those girls and dolls. I had Samantha, Molly, and a "make one look like you" doll.

Those stools are awesome! And I must go find this blanket right now. I think I have a blanket addiction.

  14. Counter height vs. Bar height? I've made that mistake. Twice! Grr. :)

My favorite childhood toys were Always Sisters Lauren, Fashion Plates, Skip-It and Barbies. Lots & lots of barbies...
