You saw my first purchase just a few days ago here.
Well, just a few days later I scooped up this:
(1) Solid Oak table (with extension leaf - not shown)
(4) Solid Oak chairs
For a Grand Total of $100.
I'm going to paint both, although - I'm a slightly partial to leaving the table black.
What color would you paint the chairs?
A bright POP of color or black to match the table?

Great find! Maybe you could do the chairs the same green as is in that art? Or maybe yellow?
ReplyDeleteI agree! The green that matches the art on your wall!
ReplyDelete... Or white because I am freaking boring and would probably paint them stark white.
Leave the table and paint the chairs something bright... like yellow or red!
ReplyDelete@LifeBegins@Thirty & @Cathleya - I was thinking about matching the green! Does it change your mind if I can change the art to any color? It's just a series of prints I made and printed off, so I can make them any color.
ReplyDeleteIf you could change the art, I would go with yellow FOR SURE. Yellow and navy are awesome together imo.
ReplyDeleteI agree that a pop of color would be fab for the chairs -- and they'd be easy enough to change in the future someday if you get tired of the color! I love navy and green, but I know how you love your yellow, so that would look awesome, too :)
ReplyDeleteI agree with everyone else...definitely a pop of color! Green or yellow would be look great!
ReplyDeleteI'm in love with your house and the colors. So fabulous! You have such a great eye for design! (Sorry for stating the obvious!)
ReplyDeleteI also agree with the crowd, Pop of color all the way!
ReplyDeleteI like the green, but I'm also partial to green since we have it on our place too. I'm trying to imagine the art and chairs in a different color and can't. I think the green is great :)
P.S. You found some awesome Craiglist stuff Girlie! I'm super jealous... and glad you didn't get kidnapped ;-)
Wow - that is a fabulous find indeed! I'm a fan of the pop of color on the chairs to contrast the table! I can't wait to see what you do.
ReplyDeleteI like green too!!
ReplyDeleteGirl, you are a Craigslist maven! This might seem dumb, but I'd love it if you wrote a post about your Craigslist searching strategies, as I never seem to find anything good. For instance, do you go on every day? Multiple times a day? Search for something in particular?
